PONTOTOC, Miss. — Mark Weber has parted ways with Man Wah Group as president and chief executive officer of subsidiary Southern Motion.
Man Wah USA Managing Director Gabriele Natale said that Weber left the upholstery manufacturer just over a week ago and is currently pursuing other opportunities.

Weber has been with Southern Motion since June 2018 and most recently had been president and CEO for just over five years. He joined the company as chief financial officer and was named chief operating officer about eight months later. He held that role until being named president in September 2020 and added the CEO role in July 2021.
Natale said that the company is not in a big hurry to fill the position as it already has a strong team in place to run day-to-day operations. This includes Executive Director Zoe Wong, who is managing the company’s international business, which he said includes all operations outside China.
“Zoe Wong has a good handle on Southern Motion, and we have plenty of good people at Southern. If we find the right individual, we will hire them. If not, we will wait until we find the right one.”
Aside from this change, he said Man Wah is running according to its strategic plans.
“It is business as usual with us,” he said, noting that the company did reasonably well at the recently concluded Las Vegas Market, seeing many retailers it expected to see. “We are very optimistic about the plan we have in place and are executing. We see a very rosy future for the Man Wah companies, and we work hard every day to execute the plan.”
