2025 show calendar kicks off with Dallas, followed by Atlanta, Las Vegas and more
It’s that time of year again, for the winter market season to kick in, giving the industry a much-anticipated jump start for the year ahead.
For the next few months, retailers and designers alike will be able to shop these events, filling in or updating their floors with a mix of new product, plus inline goods they can get right away. Ranging from furniture and lighting to home accents along with gifts and seasonal décor, there will be plenty to offer across many categories.
While some of the main events are in the U.S., there are also other shows in the Western Hemisphere that buyers can attend whether they’re shopping for their retail floor or looking for design inspiration for their own lines.
Below is a brief look at the upcoming events in the U.S., other parts of the Western Hemisphere and Europe. (Editor’s note: Later this month, we will provide a listing of shows in Asia that begin in late February, following the Chinese New Year and Tet holidays.)
Dallas Total Home & Gift Market
Kicking off things this week is the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market held at the Dallas Market Center Jan. 8-14. There are hundreds of exhibitors showcasing product in the home accents, furniture, lighting, rugs, floral, textiles, apparel, gifts, housewares, tabletop and holiday categories. The event is spread over 5 million square feet in four buildings that include the World Trade Center, the Trade Mart building and the Interior Home + Design Center and Market Hall. Most of the space is devoted to permanent showrooms, but there are also temporaries, offering buyers an opportunity to shop niche companies showcasing an even broader mix of product.
Atlanta Market
The winter Atlanta Market will be held Jan. 14-20 at the AmericasMart complex in downtown Atlanta. Spread over three buildings, it features more than 8,000 brands across a variety of product categories. Building 1 features casual and outdoor products along with home furnishings, accents and other décor, plus seasonal and gift merchandise. Building 2 is largely devoted to gift merchandise as well as tabletop, gourmet and housewares plus garden and lifestyle categories. Building 3 features apparel, bridal, prom and social occasion merchandise as well as jewelry, fashion accessories and cash-and-carry items. Most of the space is devoted to permanent showrooms, but each building also devotes a few or more floors to temporaries.
Maison & Objet, Paris
Taking place at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition center, the winter edition of the show runs Jan. 16-20. It features more than 2,300 brands and participation from some 147 countries. Many furniture designers and product developers from the U.S. and other parts of the world attend either the winter or summer (Sept 4-8) events to get inspiration from design leaders in France and other parts of Europe, often bringing color and style trends to their own lines in and outside High Point. In addition to furniture, categories include accessories, home textiles, home décor and tableware as well as apparel, fashion products and accessories, gifts and children’s products, to name several.
The January Furniture Show, Birmingham, U.K.
Billed as the U.K.’s largest furniture trade event, this year’s show takes place Jan. 19-22 at the National Exhibition Center in Birmingham. Spread over four halls, it features products from more than 350 furniture and home furnishings exhibitors from the U.K. and other parts of the world that will showcase a wide mix of product, from case goods and upholstery to accessories and home décor. The event also will continue the popular Furniture Talks series, which features master classes, panel discussions and interviews with renowned makers and designers. “The diverse agenda provides an opportunity to learn from the experts, listen to industry trailblazers and look ahead with recognized thought-leaders,” the show said on its website, adding, “Leading voices of the furniture world will share their insights and knowledge to help you make your business a success.”
Las Vegas Market
The winter Las Vegas Market takes place Jan. 26-30 at the World Market Center in Las Vegas. Featuring more than 3,500 brands in four buildings, the show is a must-attend, particularly for the bedding industry. There is also plenty to see in the furniture segment with new and inline case goods and upholstery showcased on nearly every floor of Buildings A and B and on five floors of Building C. Other major categories buyers can shop at the event include gifts, tabletop and home décor, as well as toys and seasonal products. The fourth building, The Expo at World Market Center, Las Vegas, offers 315,000 square feet of temporary space for exhibitors looking to showcase niche products for buyers seeking new and emerging resources in the marketplace. “Las Vegas Market offers a one-stop experience for wholesale commerce,” the market touts on its website. “Manufacturers, sales reps and brands connect with retail buyers and interior designers to source unique products, build strategic partnerships and stay ahead in an evolving industry.”
Home Design & Remodeling Show, Fort Lauderdale, Florida
This is not a typical furniture event, but one that has interest for the industry as it deals with home remodels and how such spending impacts overall home design and how people live today. Taking place Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the Broward County Convention Center, this marks the 30th edition of the event, which features more than 160 exhibitors ranging from window and door suppliers to kitchen cabinets, custom millwork and outdoor kitchens. Other areas of interest include pool, patio and landscape resources, interior design and wallcovering selections, flooring, countertops, bathroom design and plumbing fixtures, as well as home décor and original fine art and “furniture for every room in your home.”
Abimad Fair (Feira Abimad), Sao Paulo, Brazil
Feira Abimad event takes place Feb. 4-7 in an estimated 500,000 square feet of show space at the Sao Paulo Expo in Sao Paulo. Described as the leading high-end furniture and accessories fair in Latin America, it features more than 180 companies including manufacturers of case goods and upholstery, many of which feature original Brazilian designs. The show also features a mix of outdoor furniture, ceramics, lighting, rugs, home décor and accessories. The fair celebrated its 20th anniversary last year and has grown considerably from its first edition in February 2024. Note that the February edition is considered the summer edition, as Brazil summers officially take place from December through March. A companion winter show is planned for July.
Ambiente, Frankfurt, Germany
This year’s event takes place Feb. 7-11 at the Messe Frankfurt exhibit campus in Frankfurt. Describing itself as the largest and most international sourcing platform outside China, the fair features some 4,900 exhibitors in more than 3.6 million square feet of show space segmented by product category with four main areas including dining, living, giving and working. The living segment is focused on furniture and home furnishings, as well as lighting, home textiles and home accessories and other decorative items. A new Interior Looks area in Hall 3.1 expands the living segment with upscale furniture and lighting curated for interior designers and architects as well as the hospitality and contract sectors.
Movelsul, Bento Gonçalves, Brazil
Taking place from Feb. 17-20, this event is has been held since 1977 and is organized by Sindmóveis, also known as the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves. Featuring some 240 exhibitors of furniture, accessories, mattresses, various industry service and solutions providers. It occupies about 580,000 square feet of space at the Parque de Eventos de Bento Gonçalves and draws some 30,000 visitors from 46 countries. The International Furniture Expo — Expo Mueble Internacional, Guadalajara, Mexico
Billing itself as the leading furniture and decoration fair in Latin America, the event takes place Feb 19-22 at the Expo Guadalajara. In addition to retailers and interior designers, the show has attracted industry wholesalers looking to partner on an OEM basis with factories around the country, both in and outside the Guadalajara region. In recent years, the product mix has evolved into more fashion-forward, transitional and contemporary looks in both case goods and upholstery as manufacturers seek to showcase their capabilities beyond traditional rustic designs. According to the show website, the event features more than 900 exhibitors in nearly 1.3 million square feet of exhibition space spread over three main halls, as well as a textile pavilion, a design pavilion and an office, contract and hospitality furniture showcase.
Kitchen & Bath Industry Show
The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, or KBIS in short, takes place from Feb. 25-27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Describing itself as “North America’s largest trade show dedicated to all aspects of kitchen and bath design,” it features some 670 exhibitors showcasing product and services in about a half million square feet spanning several halls at the convention center. Among these are about 200 international kitchen and bath suppliers. “KBIS, in conjunction with the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), is an inspiring and interactive event that showcases the industry’s latest products, trends, and technologies from hundreds of exhibitors,” the show says on its website. Last year, the show drew an estimated 55,000 registered visitors to the event. Among the key benefits of attending? Seeing and learning about new products, gaining insights into new trends in kitchen and bath, keeping up with the industry and developing and strengthening industry relationships. Meble Polska, Poznan, Poland
Held at the Poznan International Fair Grounds, the event is scheduled for Feb. 25-28. Spanning nine exhibition halls at the complex, it features nearly 300 exhibitors that include some of Poland’s largest furniture producers. Their respective lines range from entry-priced laminate furniture to higher end products made with solid wood. Upholstery and other living room furniture is another major area of expertise highlighted at the show.
Lofty Design Expo
This event grew out of last year’s Home Deco Expo in Miami, Florida. Scheduled from Feb. 26-28, it will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The show will feature about 100 manufacturers of furniture, lighting, rugs, bedding, accessories and more, including about 65 from Turkey, as well as other countries such as Bangladesh and Brazil. “From luxurious upholstery to elegant dining and bedroom sets, high quality materials to elevate or renovate, and accessories to dress up any space, you’ll find inspiration and new products at Lofty Design Expo,” the show says on its website.
