Description: The Director, Human Resources is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the President & C.O.O. in supporting all employees. The position is based in our Houston Corporate Office, and the incumbent will be responsible for supporting not only Chair King Backyard Store but also its subsidiaries which include Fortunoff Backyard.
The person in this role will support the President & COO in the design and execution of employee and organization development strategies that equip staff to carry out the company’s mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant HR experience (preferred)
- SHRM certification and participation (preferred)
- General knowledge of multi-state employment laws and practices
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other human resources programs
