Job Title: Merchandising & Planning Analyst

Description: The Merchandising Analyst will play a crucial role in providing data-driven insights and analytical support to the merchandising team. The role will report to the Merchandising Director and will contribute to the development and execution of merchandising strategies and inventory management.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze sales data, pricing trends, inventory turnover, and customer behavior. Provide actionable insights to inform merchandising decisions.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product assortment, sales, and inventory levels.
- Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, consumer preferences, and opportunities for product expansion.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the merchandising team to optimize inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and ensure timely replenishment of fast-moving products.
- Price Analysis: Assist in analyzing pricing strategies, competitor pricing, and pricing elasticity to support pricing decisions and profitability goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Two (2) years of experience in data analysis or a similar role, preferably in a merchandising or retail environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
