The Procurement Director oversees, manages, and directs activities of the purchasing managers. This position is responsible for planning and implementing the purchasing strategies for finished goods as well as strategies for the purchasing of raw materials.
What you do:
- Develop purchasing strategies to ensure inventory is available to meet customer demand
- Maximize improvements to inventory to ensure efficiency of warehouse space utilization
- Develop strategies to improve forecasting accuracy
- Work with suppliers and Asian team to reduce lead times
- Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field required
- 5-7 years Supply Chain management roles, including supply chain planning, inventory management, international sourcing, and buying/procurement
- 3-5 years supervisory role/experience managing a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of company products and logistics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
