LAS VEGAS – Diamond Mattress rounds out its bedding solutions with the introduction of all-new adjustable bases and foundations for the modern consumer.
Diamond officials said the company’s new products this summer will give retailers more merchandising opportunities and selling solutions with feature-packed adjustable bases that include massage for sleep wellness and foundations that simplify the bedroom space.
Adjustable Base Program
The new adjustable base program includes three distinct models for a strong good-better-best story. The two top models feature mobile app connectivity with additional features such as sleep sounds and wake-up alarm, which will be demonstrated at market. All models offer 850-lb. weight capacity and are shippable by UPS.
Omni Massage is the top model and features massage functionality, head/foot adjustment, anti-snore position, under-bed lighting, built-in dual USB ports, and a Bluetooth-enabled touch screen remote with memory settings, flashlight and a TV position button. This upholstered base has mattress grip and can be used with no legs. It retails at $1,199 in queen.
The Zero Gravity base features head/foot adjustment and three pre-set positions (flat, lounge and zero gravity), 12-inch adjustable height legs, split sync capability, and a Bluetooth-enabled wireless remote with memory settings, flashlight and a TV position button. The Zero Gravity retails at $899 in queen.
The Essential base offers head adjustment and a wired remote, retailing at $699 in queen.
The new, lightweight Versatile foundation is an ideal partner for any mattress with six-inch legs and an eight-inch base. The foundation offers strong and noiseless support in addition to a clean look with a fabric cover (FR compliant). It’s also ideal for retailers – priced right at $299 retail, lightweight, easy to move and set-up, and ships economically anywhere in the U.S. saving warehouse and truck space.
The Space Base foundation retailing at $199 queen is a space-saving solution for those needing a strong, silent foundation with additional storage under the bed — over 40 cubic feet of storage in fact. The 14-inch leg height eliminates the need for an eight-inch foundation. It can be set up in 5 minutes with no tools needed and is lightweight for easy and economical shipping.
“Our multi-dimensional approach to new product development means we design first to provide solutions to the end-consumer with features and price points they want and need, and then build the program to support success for our retail partners,” said Patrick Wolf, vice president of sales and education.
Luxury and Natural Stories
The luxury Generations and natural Ethos collections launched in April were received by retailers enthusiastic to have quality, made in the USA mattresses in these high-demand categories at accessible price points, according to company officials.
Generations is Diamond’s first luxury collection. It’s an heirloom quality and style mattress that embodies the history and heritage of fourth-generation family-owned and operated Diamond Mattress. It sets a new price point for the company with high-end components including latex, GOTS-certified wool, over 2,000 coils and micro coils, Tencel fabric cover and artisan’s button-tufted finish.
Diamond will unveil the company’s first natural and eco-friendly mattress collection. Ethos is designed to meet growing consumer demand for healthy home and environmentally conscious products. The two-bed program features Diamond’s patented nested coil and zoned support system, latex, GOTS-certified Joma wool and an organic cotton fabric cover. Ethos has a retail price range of $1,499-$1,999 mattress only and is offered in three profiles.
