Bernards adds 2 case goods collections to its line in High Point

Hudson has reimagined Arts and Crafts design elements, while Moden has a soft modern architecturally inspired approach

HIGH POINT — Full-line furniture resource Bernards is coming to market with two new case goods collections that take the company into new style directions that aim to fuel interest among consumers on retail floors.

The first is called Hudson, a 36-piece collection of bedroom, dining and occasional designed by Bob White. It has reimagined Arts and Crafts style influences seen in the shapes of beds, dining tables and companion wood storage pieces including a tall display unit with a modern apothecary design and featuring shelf storage behind two glass doors and two wood doors.

Made with oak veneers in two finishes — a brown oak stain called Chocolate and a darker Gun Metal finish — it features three dining tables, including a trestle-base rectangular dining table shown with curved slat-back chairs and a double ped rectangular table. The double ped table is shown as a regular-height version and as a gathering-height version with two extenders for the base, which comes in either the dark wood tone finish or the Gun Metal finish.

This dining set is part of the Hudson collection.

The collection also has three beds including a wall panel bed with attached suspended nightstands with marble tops, along with a wood panel bed and a sleigh panel bed featuring a headboard upholstered in vegan leather. The wood panel bed retails at $999, and the upholstered panel bed retails at $1,199.

The wall bed with two attached nightstands retails at $2,199.

Case pieces including nightstands and accent tables feature marble tops. Marble also is seen on the top of a server/console/hall chest suspended on a metal base.

Moden, designed by long-time Bernards collaborator Stephanie Lena, has a soft modern/architecturally inspired aesthetic.

It has about 32 pieces of bedroom, dining and occasional made with wire-brushed pine veneers and available in two wood finishes, a dark and a medium-brown-tone pine.

This bedroom is part of the Moden collection.

It has three beds including a fully upholstered bed in performance fabric retailing at $899 and a panel bed with and without a foot-board bench, both featuring inset lighting on the headboard. The bed with the bench option retails at $1,499 and retails at $1,199 for the standard version without the bench.

This round pedestal base dining table is part of Moden.

Dining tables include a rectangular table with a splayed double pedestal base, a counter-height table and a round table with a wood pedestal base and an inset marble wood top. Marble also is seen on the tops of dressers and nightstands.

Both collections will ship and hit retail during the spring of 2027.

At market, they can be seen at the company’s showroom in Space 201 of the Atrium at 430 S. Main St. in downtown High Point.
