Description: Amazon is looking for a Senior Vendor Manager to own highly strategic vendors in the dynamic Furniture business. Core responsibilities will include managing profitability, optimizing our sourcing strategy, and identifying growth strategies in an evolving landscape. In addition to core vendor management, this role will lead key strategic initiatives including the onboarding of Premium Hold Out Brands (HOBs) to expand our brand portfolio and selection, as well as navigating and growing AMXL warehouse and Heavy Bulky Service integrations to enhance our fulfillment capabilities and customer delivery experience for large-format furniture items.
The candidate should have experience in building strong relationships, driving significant top and bottom line results, and be comfortable managing multiple responsibilities within a fast-paced environment. They must have the leadership presence and communication skills to represent Amazon at executive levels. A Senior Vendor Manager is an effective leader and communicator and a seasoned problem-solver. A successful candidate should be able to define and drive long-term objectives and strategy for the business. He/she will be responsible for managing comprehensive selection across multiple large brands, developing collaborative marketing and promotions, and driving sales and margin improvements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
