The Canada-based home furnishings brand targets growth beyond North America
MONTREAL, QUEBEC — Montreal-based home furnishings retailer Cozey is expanding its global footprint once again. Earlier this year, the company opened a 5,000-square-foot pop-up showroom in Los Angeles, its second-largest U.S. market following a successful pop-up store in New York City in 2025.
Now, Cozey has officially launched e-commerce in Australia, the company’s first intercontinental expansion, just six years after its launch in Canada and three years after its U.S. e-commerce debut, underscoring the brand’s rapid growth trajectory.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring Cozey to Australia and introduce our products to a new community of customers,” said Frédéric Aubé, chief executive officer and founder of Cozey. “As we looked at where to expand next, Australia emerged as the right choice given how closely it aligns with Canada in terms of customer behavior and market trends. That similarity gives us strong confidence that our products will resonate while also allowing us to learn from and contribute to the local community as we grow our presence.”

All Australian orders will ship for free from Cozey’s new Sydney-based operations center, continuing the same service it offers throughout North America. Cozey’s Australia-based website will feature nearly all of the same product categories that are available in the U.S. and Canada, including the modular sofas the company is known for. The only exception is mattresses, which are expected to launch in Australia later this year.
According to a news release, Cozey’s expansion into Australia marks the latest milestone in a period of significant growth for the company, which has rapidly scaled its product assortment and retail footprint.
So far in 2026, Cozey has added new SKUs within its existing product categories, debuted a bedroom collection and introduced an outdoor collection, which is currently on display at its Los Angeles pop-up.
Beyond e-commerce, Cozey continues to invest in its brick-and-mortar retail presence in North America. The company recently opened a permanent store in Calgary and has additional permanent store openings planned for Montreal and New York City.
