HIGH POINT — Kirk Cameron, the celebrated actor, author and faith-based speaker, will deliver the keynote message for the annual Furniture Prayer Breakfast during the spring High Point Market.

Kirk Cameron is known by millions as “Mike Seaver” from the 1980s hit sit-com “Growing Pains.”

Since then, he has spearheaded a host of faith- and family-focused films, television shows and live events. He starred in the 2008 movie “Fireproof,” which won the Epiphany Prize for Most Inspiring Movie at the Movieguide Awards in 2009. It also won Best Feature Film at the 2009 San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival. His most recent film was “Lifemark.” He has also produced the documentaries “Monumental” and “The Home School Awakening.” He hosts TBN’s “Takeaways with Kirk Cameron” and “The American Campfire Revival.” He has held hundreds of live events across the country focused on marriage, family and parenting.

His message of hope, restoration and spiritual growth has been a consistent source of inspiration as he encourages audiences everywhere to live purposed-filled lives rooted in faith. Cameron reinforced that message in his newest book titled “Born to Be Brave,” a book he describes as a guidebook for America’s spiritual comeback.

He and his wife, Chelsea, met on the set of “Growing Pains” and have been married for 35 years. Together they have six children. The couple host an all-expenses-paid summer camp for terminally ill children and their families called Camp Firefly.

“We are so excited to have Kirk join us for our annual breakfast,” said Lael Thompson, vice president. “It will be an incredible message as he shares his transformative insights on life and how to make a personal commitment to being bold in our faith. We are anticipating hundreds of industry colleagues and friends to join together on what will be a very inspirational morning.”

The 32nd annual event kicks off at 6:20 a.m. with a full breakfast, live music, prayer and Kirk’s keynote message. The program ends at 7:45 a.m.
