Gabriella White names Missy Vanderberg Strear VP, creative

PELHAM, Ala. — Indoor and outdoor furnishings specialist Gabriella White has hired Missy Vanderberg Strear vice president of creative, a new position.

In this new role, she will work in product development for the company’s brands, including Gabby, Summer Classics and Wendy Jane.

She reports to Kirsten Darrow, chief marketing officer.

She comes to the company from Theodore Alexander, where she was vice president of merchandising and development for three and a half years. Before this, she was director of design at Scott Group Studio and also was previously manager of design at Baker Furniture.

Before joining Baker, she was creative team lead and a designer at upholstery, textiles, lighting and accessories resource Donghia and was previously a principal designer at Studio Vanderberg based in Brooklyn.

In a post on LinkedIn, she said she is “looking forward to collaborating with this talented team to create innovative designs and uphold the legacies of Summer Classics, Gabby and Wendy Jane,” adding that she is “grateful to the White family and executive team for their trust in me.”
