Importer Veyer LLC has received 7 reports of consumers falling out of the chair, which has resulted in two minor injuries
WASHINGTON — Importer Veyer LLC has recalled 64,000 of its WorkPro Momentum office chairs that pose a fall hazard, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The CPSC announced the recall on Jan. 16, noting that the bolts that connect the back of the chair to its base can fail, which can cause a fall hazard to users. The company has received seven reports of consumers falling out of the chair and this has resulted in two minor injuries.
The recall involves the WorkPro Momentum ergonomic office chairs, which were sold in black with model number 8517865 or gray with model number 2864384. They have a metal frame, a cushioned seat, five coaster wheels and a high back that shifts side-to-side. The model number can be found beneath the seat cushion.
Made in China, they were sold at Office Depot and OfficeMax stores nationwide and online at www.amazon.com, www.officedepot.com, www.walmart.com and www.ebay.com, as well as some other websites from October 2021 through September 2024 for about $430.
The CPSC has advised consumers to immediately stop using the recalled chairs until they are repaired. They can contact Veyer to receive a free repair kit, which consists of a back bracket, three bolts, an Allen wrench and a decorative cover. Shipping and installation instructions also are included. The CPSC said that Veyer also is contacting all known purchasers directly.
