HIGH POINT — Industry veteran Steve Lush has rejoined DiGio Leather as president of sales, North and South America.
In this existing position, which recently had been vacant, Lush holds a similar role he held at the company from late 2020 through mid-2022.
He was most recently president of upholstery resource Royal Morris Living but left the role earlier this past spring when the company decided to eliminate its management team in the U.S. and have it run instead by its team in China. In recent months, Lush has served in a consulting role for the company while also helping wind down its U.S. operations.
Before joining DiGio in late 2020, he was president of Kuka Home North America and before that was president of Hooker Furniture’s case goods division. He also previously was president of luxury furnishings retailer Robb & Stuck Furniture and Interiors.
He returned to DiGio earlier this past summer and works directly with members of the Sforza family management team. He will manage marketing and sales in the North and South America markets, overseeing a team of 24 reps. He also recently traveled to the company’s operations in Italy this past August, where he helped the team with some product development.
Lush told Home News Now that he is pleased to return to the company, where he has maintained a friendly relationship with the family since his departure just over two years ago.
“There was always the understanding that I could go back and work there again,” he said. “I had a successful run at DiGio. They have a true passion for the product, with beautiful leathers and attention to detail. It really is all about the craftsmanship and the quality of the product, which is really refreshing in today’s world. … We can offer these beautiful styles at strong value and with 100% mixability. That is becoming increasingly important as more and more of our customers want special order capabilities.”
