Primo International fall introductions to include Sealy Posturepedic office chairs

HIGH POINT — Primo International, the Canadian-based whole-home importer, was here at premarket putting the final touches on a number of product introductions including a new generation of Sealy Posturepedic office chairs.

Set to debut next month at market, the rollout is expected to include an initial offering of about a dozen office chairs that will all feature an assortment of enhanced features and benefits, according to John DeFalco, senior executive vice president of sales and marketing at Primo.

The new office chairs come on the heels of a successful launch of Sealy-branded office seating that Primo debuted about a year ago. At that time, the company introduced about a dozen of the chairs, then grew that assortment to about 100 stock-keeping units.

Commenting on the initial launch, DeFalco said, “It was great. Sealy is the most trusted mattress brand in America. Retailers appreciate the brand awareness and have high expectations for Sealy product in terms of quality, comfort and style.”

“Consumers trust the brand and want the brand,’ he added. “This is a tremendous marriage from the standpoint of taking Sealy into other parts of the home in these categories. Further, Primo brings its skills of product development,  sourcing and distribution, so it becomes a true win-win.”

DeFalco described the next generation of office chairs as “a truly curated line of step-up chairs that will incorporate new features, benefits and styles.”

Suggested retail pricing will range from $199 to $299, with availability scheduled for 75-90 days after the October furniture market.
