Bradington-Young launches new concept collections at High Point Market

HICKORY, NC, October 2022 – Hickory-based upholstery manufacturer Bradington-Young is set to roll out new concept collections at the October High Point Market: two groups of transitionally styled stationary pieces and two groups of studio motion furniture.

The new transitional stationary pieces are showcased in two distinct cover leathers within the Bradington-Young showroom, each representing a unique personality and illustrating the true versatility in the collection’s styling. In designing these pieces, inspiration was drawn from softening of typical mid-century-style furniture, an enduring, pervasive trend that continues to remain relevant today.

“With the marketplace trending towards a more transitional look, it is only natural that Bradington-Young extend our transitional offerings with these new stationary groups,” said Cheryl Sigmon Johnston, vice president of merchandising and product development for Bradington-Young.

The smaller-scale motion collection makes up the second half of Bradington-Young’s major introductions this fall. Both new groups within this smaller-scale concept are based off some of the best-selling stationary SKUs that the company has released in recent years, with the added benefit of new motion functionality. The final sofa dimensions for the products within these groups come out to 76.5 inches and 78 inches.

“As consumer living continues to shift towards smaller, more efficient homes, the need has arisen for furniture that is tailored to those individualized spaces,” Sigmon Johnston noted. “Customers don’t want to give up the look and features of the larger-scale pieces that they love, so we reduced the footprint of our products to meet those needs in the marketplace. This new sizing also allows for an easier delivery experience, which is a great benefit for both our customer and the end consumer.”

Additional product introductions include zero-gravity recliners with power headrests, a new swivel accent chair, and a new home office chair that is the evolution of a best-selling swivel chair from April’s High Point Market. New cover options include 12 new performance fabrics (six patterned and six textured plain) and 19 new leather choices, including one new novelty leather.

Bradington-Young, a division of Hooker Furnishings, will once again be showing in the Hooker Legacy Brands showroom on the 10th floor of IHFC, Space C1058
