Regency Furniture owner opens new Pennyslvania HomeStore

The Bensalem, Pa., showroom, and openings in Kenya and Indonesia add to the 1,000+ global store network

BENSALEM, Penn. — Ashley Furniture celebrated the opening of three licensed Ashley HomeStores in late March, adding to its global network of more than 1,075 stores in 64 countries.

That included the soft opening of a 38,000-square-foot showroom at 1843 Street Road in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, owned and operated by Abdul Ayad, owner of HNN 125 retailer Regency Furniture of Brandywine, Md. Regency operates Regency Furniture, Marlo Furniture and Ashley HomeStores. The company now has more than 40 HomeStores along the Northeast and East Coast

“We are excited to bring another Ashley store to Pennsylvania,” Ayad said in a release. “Our brand sets the standard for providing consumers the latest on-trend furniture styles and coordinated accessories.” 

A grand opening event will take place in the coming weeks. 

In Nairobi, Kenya, a 21,000-square-foot HomeStore opened on Mombasa Road at Park View Heights. The store is owned and operated by Fairdeal Furniture Ltd, which owns four additional Ashley Furniture HomeStores in the surrounding region. The Park View store will employ approximately 12 people. 

And in Surabaya, Indonesia, a 2,136-square-foot HomeStore opened in Galaxy Mall. It’s owned and operated by PT. Home Center Indonesia, which owns 12 additional HomeStores in the surrounding region. This is the second HomeStore in the province of East Java.
