PHILADELPHIA — Tango Multimedia, a national furniture-focused marketing and advertising agency has hired Avery Nelson as director of business development and sales, a new position.
Nelson brings more than 20 years of experience in retail marketing. In 2006, she started her furniture career with Banner Marketing, and then went on to work with Valassis (a subsidiary of Vericast) where she served as team lead on the national Ashley Furniture account.
In addition to Ashley Furniture Inds., Nelson has worked with several national companies including Klaussner Furniture, Lane Furniture, the TJX Cos., and Mohawk Flooring. She has also provided marketing consulting and other guidance to hundreds of independently owned furniture stores and Ashley HomeStore licensees throughout the country.
Most recently, she was marketing director for the Ashley HomeStore brand under the Regency Furniture group and provided support to 33 HomeStores in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
In a release, Terry Fetterman, Tango Multimedia founder and managing partner, said Nelson’s experience with larger retail groups “expands our ability to apply our expertise on a bigger scale, allowing us to help more retailers and better serve our existing clients.”
