by HIGH POINT — UE Living will showcase a new generation of motion upholstery technology at High Point Market with an upgraded anti-pinch safety system designed to make powered reclining more responsive to the people and environment around it.
At the center of the introduction is the SensoDrive motor, which detects resistance during reclining and pauses motion when an obstruction is encountered. The technology is designed to provide added protection while maintaining the smooth, intuitive movement consumers expect from premium motion upholstery.
SensoDrive’s anti-pinch safety function is executed by pre-configured, conventional software algorithms. The technology is complemented by whisper-quiet operation, double-tap reclining and smooth movement. It will be incorporated as a standard function across UE Living motion products and offered in a range of modern, casual and transitional styles and price points.
The introduction builds on UE Living’s broader position as a resource for both motion and stationary upholstery. Supported by UE manufacturing in China and Vietnam, the company offers multiple style directions and manufacturing capabilities developed to serve customers across global markets.

UE Living will show the new technology and its broader upholstery assortment in the new UE showroom FP410 on the fourth floor of Furniture Plaza. The UE house of brands will host a showroom grand opening celebration Friday, Oct. 16, 5-7:30 pm, bringing UE Living and the EF Brands portfolio together in the new space.
