Agency said the units are unstable if not anchored to the wall, posing an entrapment and tip-over hazard
WASHINGTON — The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of about 180 fabric chests of drawers sold on Wayfair because of a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can injure or kill children.
While no incidents or injuries have been reported, the agency said the units are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that also can harm adults. It also noted that they violate the mandatory safety standard as required by the STURDY Act.
The recall involves the Wade Logan Annyka nine-drawer fabric chests made by Wuxi Leclaire Home Products Co. Ltd. of China and imported by Ningbo Jiangdong Peter International Trading Co. Ltd., also of China. They were sold on Wayfair.com from September 2023 through May 2026 for about $98.

The CPSC described the units as featuring a metal frame and nine fabric drawers in black, brown, gray and white. It measures 39.4 inches long by 11.8 inches wide by 39.4 inches tall and weighs 33 pounds. They have a SKU number and color printed on a label located on the outer packaging (e.g., “SKU: HD016GRY” and “COLOR: GRAY”).
Consumers have been advised to immediately stop using the units if they are not anchored to the wall and move them to an area of the home that children cannot access.
They can also contact Ningbo Jiangdong Peter International Trading for instructions on how to identify affected units and dispose of the dressers in order to receive a full refund. Consumers will be asked to submit a photo showing themselves disposing of the product to annykarecall@yeah.net.
The recall educates retailers and wholesalers alike that are meeting the requirements of the STURDY of the dangers associated with such units. To meet the requirements of STURDY, such units must meet specific testing requirements — including testing on a carpeted surface — that simulate the force of a child weighing 60 pounds or less climbing on the unit. Units that are above 30 pounds and have 3.2 cubic feet of volume are subject to the law.
For more information regarding the recall, consumers can contact Ningbo Jiangdong Peter International Trading toll-free at 833-423-1158 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or by email at annykarecall@yeah.net.
