GigaCloud to showcase 200 new SKUs during First Look show hosted by sister company New Classic

In addition, New Classic will be showing more than 22 collections covering multiple categories

FONTANA, Calif. — GigaCloud Technology will showcase products from its B2B Marketplace here next week as part of the First Look show hosted by sister company New Classic Furniture.

The company acquired New Classic in January, and this is the first time it will showcase products as part of New Classic’s exclusive First Look dealer event, which is now in its fifth year.

At the July 21-24 show to be held at New Classic’s headquarters in Fontana, California, GigaCloud will showcase more than 200 marketplace pieces ranging from bedroom and dining furniture to occasional, home entertainment, accent furniture, upholstery and more.

All this will be in addition to products that New Classic shows across 22 brand-new collections that offer a mix of bedroom, dining, stationary and motion upholstery, and occasional furniture.

The product will be shown in a 30,000-square-foot showroom at the Fontana facility, with GigaCloud showcasing in about 5,000 square feet of space and another 1,500 so devoted to outdoor products. New Classic product will be shown in the balance of the space, noted Iman Schrock, president.

As all pieces are being shown to dealers for the first time, he said the emphasis is on “newness,” with GigaCloud offering product largely geared to e-commerce and New Classic showing some of the looks it has been traditionally known for among brick-and-mortar dealers.

In a release announcing the event, the company said the GigaCloud B2B Marketplace offers retailers many different categories in addition to furniture from more than 1,300 global and local suppliers, “with flexible fulfillment options including self-pickup, B2B wholesale shipments and SFR (Supplier Fulfilled Retailing), which provides fast, direct shipments to consumers.”

These products are stocked in more than 25 GigaCloud fulfillment centers across the U.S., allowing retailers direct access through a model that “is designed to help retailers expand selection, reduce inventory investment and deliver products faster.”

“The GigaCloud B2B Marketplace is unique in its ability to connect tens of thousands of buyers and sellers through one platform, creating the ultimate endless aisle for retailers,” said Larry Wu, founder and chief executive officer of GigaCloud. “Retailers can build their business as they see fit and optimize their operations using both a best-value factory-direct approach and a best-service local supplier approach. By combining marketplace technology, broad product access and integrated logistics, GigaCloud is simplifying the way retailers source, sell and fulfill big-and-bulky goods.”

Schrock said that the company has invited some 400 dealers to the event, many of which are on the West Coast, along with others throughout the U.S., including the East Coast. It runs just before the July 26-30 Las Vegas Market, meaning that dealers can visit the show before heading to the Vegas show.

“They (dealers) do like the private aspect of it,” Schrock said. “And it just happens to be so close in proximity to the Las Vegas market so it works out that they can come here a couple of days before to see product. It’s not too different than the majors coming in earlier to High Point to try to pick out stuff before anybody else.”
