She fills a role previously held by Del Starnes, who is retiring after 21 years as president
TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — Luxury upholstery manufacturer Taylor King has named Nicole Bailey president, a role that she assumes effective immediately.
She replaces Del Starnes, who has been president for the past 21 years and is retiring from the company.
“It has been an incredible journey leading Taylor King, and I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together,” Starnes said. “I have full confidence in Nicole’s ability to continue driving the company forward with the same dedication and passion that has defined our success.”
Bailey has been with the company since last December as vice president of sales. Before this, she was president of upholstery resource Olivia + Quinn for about two and a half years and also was previously vice president of sales at Highland House Furniture for about three years. She also previously worked at Cabot Wrenn for about seven years, including as vice president of administration and vice president of sales.
“I’m excited about continuing to uphold the high standards that our customers and partners expect while also exploring new opportunities for growth and innovation,” Bailey said. “Our skilled craftspeople, dedicated sales force and valued dealers are the backbone of our success, and I look forward to working closely with them to build on the strong foundation that Del has established.”
The company said it also looks forward to a new era under Bailey’s leadership as it “remains committed to delivering exceptional products and services to its customers, with a renewed focus on innovation and market expansion. … Nicole Bailey brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having worked in various capacities within the home furnishings industry. Her expertise in both the fashion and manufacturing sides of the business, coupled with her commitment to Taylor King’s tradition of excellence, positions her to lead the company into its next chapter.”
