WINNIPEG, Manitoba — Palliser Furniture Group, the parent of Palliser and EQ3, has named Wendy Ferris as chief culture and people officer.
Reporting to company CEO Peter Tielmann, Ferris will oversee PFG’s human resource departments in Canada and Mexico starting July 9.
Ferris previously held this role for nearly three years starting around July 2019 and is returning to the company after a two-and-a-half-year absence. Officials said that the position had been unfilled since she left the company.
She comes to Palliser from Decor Cabinets Limited, where she was chief strategy officer since April 2022.
Before that, she worked at Palliser as senior executive adviser, chief culture and people officer and executive vice president of culture and innovation. Before joining Palliser, she co-founded InVision Edge in early 2014 and remains a partner in the business.
In her new position, the company said, she will “leverage her expertise in strategic planning and organizational and cultural alignment within both brands, ensuring operational efficiency and a positive workplace environment.”
“Managing our organizational structure, aligning talent and continuing to drive culture are areas we will remain focused on,” Tielmann said. “Wendy’s leadership will undoubtedly strengthen these vital aspects of our business and we look forward to incorporating her vision, experience and understanding of our organization’s goals and values.”
“We have an opportunity to build on PFG’s strong history,” Ferris said. “At the same time, I’m motivated to reinvent who we can be as we grow and align our strategy for the future. I look forward to working with this team and being a part of that important story.”
