PICO RIVERA, Calif. — Upholstery and case goods resource AICO has promoted Peggie Galvin to vice president of upholstery, a new position.
“Peggie has demonstrated executive-level leadership in the growth of AICO’s upholstery division,” said Michael Amini, founder and chief executive officer. “This promotion is well deserved for the significant contributions Peggie has made in the tremendous growth of our upholstery division and reflects her broadening role in the leadership of AICO.”
The company noted that in addition to her expanded assignments in product development, Galvin’s responsibilities include sourcing, merchandising and team management in AICO’s textile and upholstery division.
She joined the company in 2016 as director of product development for upholstery, having had more than 20 years of experience in retail and manufacturing in the home décor sector. For nearly 12 years prior, she was a senior buyer for Anna’s Linens and before that was a senior buyer at Bath & Wall Decor. Earlier in her career, she was a sales manager at Intercontinental Art.
In her new role, Galvin reports to David Koehler, president.
“Peggie has a keen understanding of design and trends in a rapidly evolving market and an excellent ability to foster meaningful relationships with clients and partners,” Koehler said. “Her commitment to continuous improvement and
excellence has been a very valuable asset in our upholstery division’s strong growth — we congratulate her for this achievement.”
