by HIGH POINT — Case goods resource American Woodcrafters is entering the solid-pine category this fall with Santa Cruz, a whole-home collection that has a clean midcentury modern design in a rustic wood finish.
Made in Mexico, the wood finish features natural knots and distressing, pairing a vintage surface with modern and simplistic lines.
Pieces include a low-profile platform bed with flared midcentury modern legs; a 58-x-44-inch solid-wood-top dining table paired with upholstered side chairs; a server with four drawers, two center shelves and one lower shelf; a 10-drawer gentleman’s chest; a console table; cocktail table; end table and entertainment center/TV stand.
As an added design detail, the upholstered dining side chairs have envelope-edge tailoring. Other bedroom cases include a five-drawer chest and seven-drawer dresser and mirror and a two-drawer nightstand.
The company will stock the Santa Cruz collection in its High Point warehouse. It also can be purchased by truckload.
At market, the collection can be seen in the company’s showroom at 233 S. Main St.
