Malaysian International Furniture Fair planned for March 1-4

KUALA LUMPUR — The 31st edition of the Malaysian International Furniture Fair sets to match the success of the show’s 30th edition this past March.

Planned for March 1-4, 2025, the show will feature more than 700 exhibitors, close to this year’s record-setting event, which showcased products from 715 exhibitors from 15 countries. The March 2024 show also drew nearly 20,000 attendees including some 5,419 visitors from 120 countries and regions outside of Malaysia.

MIFF officials told Home News Now that the space for the show is now 90% booked.

As in the past, the coming year’s event will take place in 17 halls spanning 1 million square feet of space in two venues, the World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur and the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Center.

The product mix includes bedroom, dining and living room furniture including upholstery, occasional and home entertainment in largely middle to lower-middle price points. Vendors also showcase youth furniture, home office, bedding and commercial office furniture in similar price points.

Event organizer Informa Markets Malaysia said it plans to elevate the customer experience by focusing on business growth, networking opportunities and hospitality.

It also will continue to promote the efforts of young designers through its xOrdinary Showcase featuring the creative works and ideas of new and emerging talent. In addition, the MIFF Design Competition celebrates the work of these young designers while encouraging them to pursue careers in the industry.

“As a pivotal event in Asia’s furniture calendar, MIFF is the gateway for business and cross-border opportunities for global growth,” said Kelie Lim, MIFF general manager. “Our plan is to elevate the experience to the next level for exhibitors and buyers that evolves around their needs. We want to inspire more fun on the aisles and get more business done. This is where it all happens.”
