HIGH POINT — Upholstery manufacturer Kuka Home has named Michael Mallett as vice president of sales for its national retail division, a new position.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, he was most recently executive vice president and head of sales at furniture resource Lifestyle Solutions, where he is credited with revitalizing the company’s e-commerce strategy and managing the mass and club distribution channels.
Before that, he was vice president of import sales and sourcing at Skyline Furniture and for six years prior to that was vice president of sales at Linon Home Décor.
Before joining Linon, he was regional sales manager, Asia operations manager and product development manager at Vendor Development Group. And for about five years prior, was a territory account manager at Marshall Associates.
“Mallett’s expertise in omnichannel business practices and domestic and overseas manufacturing operations makes him a valuable addition to the Kuka Home executive team,” the company said, adding “With Mallett onboard, Kuka Home is poised to strengthen its national retail and e-commerce businesses to accelerate company growth. His leadership and strategic thinking will be instrumental in achieving the company’s sales objectives and driving expansion efforts.”
In his new position, he reports to Tony Cantrell, president of the Kuka Home’s National Retail Division, who was previously handing the sales efforts for the division. He said the company is pleased to welcome Mallett to the company.
“With his proven track record, we are confident he will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence and driving sales efforts to new heights,” Cantrell said.
