“Acquiring The Great American Home Store is the perfect way for Rooms To Go to enter the Memphis and Southaven market,” said Rooms To Go CEO Jeffrey Seaman in a statement. “We are excited to bring The Great American Home Store team and business into the Rooms To Go family while continuing to offer quality, stylish furniture to the area.”

Rooms To Go has had a presence in Tennessee for 27 years, with stores in Chattanooga and Knoxville, and multiple locations in Nashville. “Our entire staff at The Great American Home Store is excited about combining with Rooms To Go,” said Ron Becker, general manager. “Rooms To Go will bring to the Memphis market a tremendous furniture shopping experience for our customers — both in-store and online. There is a common denominator in both companies’ business philosophy: ‘Take care of our customers first and foremost.’ The combination will be great for our customers and our employees. If you are shopping for furniture in the Midsouth, the future looks bright!”

The company said that all four locations will continue to operate under The Great American Home Store name as the two
brands transition into a corporate entity.

“Rooms To Go is excited to become a vibrant member of the Memphis community and to build on the fantastic reputation The Great American Home Store has created,” Seaman added.
