Curved shapes, natural materials define Sherrill Furniture’s spring introductions

HICKORY, N.C. – Sherrill Furniture will unveil its latest introductions for spring High Point Market in the newly renovated first floor of the Sherrill showroom. The goal was to create a fresh and updated approach to Sherrill’s overall design and display aesthetic. Several defining trends have shaped their new product lineup, including curved shapes, minimalism and natural materials. These are seen throughout their introductions in upholstery, as well as in their Sherrill Occasional case goods line and Whittemore Sherrill leather collection.

“Curved shapes and natural materials are not just a passing trend in furniture design, but a reflection of our innate desire to reconnect with nature and create spaces that evoke a sense of comfort, harmony and balance,” said Sydney Wells, director of marketing for all of Sherrill’s brands.

India Miller, creative director for Hickory White and Lillian August upholstery divisions, has led the overall design of the showroom for this upcoming market. With careful consideration, she has chosen fresh fabrics to pair with the new frame designs introduced by Charles Sherrill.

One of the first trends seen in Sherrill’s new product introductions is soft curves on organic forms. Some pieces from their Whittemore Sherrill leather collection are inspired by shapes found on the human form. These pieces are meant to hug the body and give support in all the right places.

Simplistic fabrics and clean lines also continue to be popular. Furniture with minimalist design adds a sense of elegance and sophistication to any space. Sherrill has embraced this and taken it to the next level. Natural materials such as wood, stone and leather can be found throughout their introductions. These materials have a timeless appeal and are often used to create a calming and natural environment.

Sherrill has always been known for their top-tier quality in upholstered designs, but this season Sherrill is giving customers a softer, more welcoming collection of introductions to choose from.
