Phillips Collection donates life-size dinosaurs to Nido & Mariana Qubein Children’s Museum

HIGH POINT – The Phillips Collection is known worldwide for its one-of-a-kind organic contemporary collections, but in their home town of High Point, NC they are simply known for making children’s dreams come true. As their recent donation of six awe-inspiring life-size dinosaurs debuted on April 30th, at the Nido & Mariana Qubein Children’s Museum– to the delight of children of all ages. 

The Grand Opening Celebration saw attendees from all across the southern states, and consisted of families who have been patiently waiting for months for the museum to open, so that Jurassic fans could experience first hand their prehistoric idols.

Dr. Nido R. Qubein, High Point University President and Museum Founder shared, “We are so grateful to the donors for providing such an interesting learning zone at the museum. Children and their parents are fascinated by the collection and praise the community for its generosity.” 

The life-sized dinosaurs created by Phillips Collection’s include a realistic Brachiosaurus, Triceratops, Velociraptor, Australovenator, Megalon, Megalania  and everyone’s favorite – the T-Rex. In addition to several artificial fossilized bones that were specially designed for the museum’s “dino dig” excavation area. Developed to help children learn through play, kids will get to unearth the faux dinosaur bones like a scientific paleontologist explorer.

Phillips Collection’s CEO + President, Mark Phillips shared “We are truly honored to be able to bring world class concept, engineering and experience to our community. It was incredibly gratifying to see the children’s faces light up as they gaze at our life sized dinosaurs.”
