Description: The senior sourcing manager will lead a team responsible for managing department-level sourcing and cultivating cross-functional and vendor relationships to optimize cost strategy and vendor network. They will be the point person for Crate & Barrel agents all over the world.
Among other things, this person will execute and advise on vendor strategies, utilizing a vendor matrix to support product development and buying strategies (including vendor allocation and SKU rationalization) and negotiate favorable first costs based on targets provided by the merchant team. They will also develop and monitor pre-production activities like sample development, quotes, packaging, etc, to ensure all are completed in a timely manner.
The position requires a minimum of seven years in a sourcing or product development role and at least five years of relevant management experience. The qualified applicant should have the ability to manage and develop direct reports as well as a timing and action calendar and have effective email communication and negotiating skills.
