Therapedic International expands Tommy Bahama line at Las Vegas Market

LAS VEGAS — Bedding manufacturer Therapedic International is expanding its Tommy Bahama collection at the Jan. 23-27 market here with several new models that bring new designs and technologies into the line.

Three new mattresses being shown at market feature earth-tone accents and leather-like accents that represent a contemporary update to the line, noted Therapedic International President and CEO Gerry Borreggine.

“We are bringing it up to date with some fresh new looks and some fresh new product features,” he told Home News Now.

The new features include Glacier Touch technology that provides cooler sleep comfort, and Sanitize, which offers antimicrobial protection. Plus, an exclusive iFlex hybrid quilt incorporates more than 2,000 micro coils to the cover, “providing comfort, durability and cooling features.”

In addition, the mattresses have Repreve performance fibers produced from recycled water bottles, giving the line an eco-friendly story as well. Many of the Tommy Bahama mattresses also feature TheraCool Copper Gel Quilt as well as Memory Touch Copper Visco Gel, Serene Foam and edge-to-edge wrapped coils for additional support and durability.

“This Tommy Bahama expansion exceeds expectations in aesthetics as well as features and benefits, combining some of the most advanced technologies available in the marketplace to deliver quality sleep,” Borreggine added.

Retailing from $999 to $2,199, the full line offers innerspring and hybrid models. They are expected to ship and hit retail early in the second quarter.

Borreggine said with the additions to the lineup, Therapedic is hoping to draw wider interest among retailers and its partner factories.

“We are hoping that we will engage a wider interest from our group of factories that will want to make it,” he said. “They really need to have some retailers seeing it. If retailers come in and they like it, our guys will make it…Hopefully we will get a good response. I am excited about the new line.”

Therapedic will be showing the new Tommy Bahama models and its other inline products at its showroom in B-946.
