11 Ravens revives Lucite for high-end gaming table collection

Los Angeles — 11 Ravens, the premier US-based design and manufacturing company for custom luxury game tables including billiards, table tennis, poker, mahjong, etc., today announced its release of a limited collection of custom-crafted Lucite game tables.

Lucite, the quality polymer stand-in for glass, joined the toolbox of the Mid-century designer just as the Space Age was taking off. As a building material, it was significantly stronger and more resistant to breaks, cracks, and scratches. It could be molded into unique and interesting shapes and withstand the outdoor elements. But most of all, with its 93% transparency, Lucite furniture and interiors gave the earthbound the appearance of weightlessness as it was enjoyed by astronauts.

“The 11 Ravens all-Lucite Malibu table is a feat of engineering,” says Sea Zeda, director of Brand Development for 11 Ravens. “The traditional high end billiards table weighs at least 700lb and brings a substantial, heavy presence to a space, whereas our Lucite collection allows for the same impact 11 Ravens tables are known for while bringing lightness to an interior,” adds Zeda. “It’s not just a Lucite table, it’s functional art for gaming.”

Now, as the golden age of NASA evolves into the age of private space flight, 11 Ravens is reviving the vicarious thrill of Lucite with the launch of bespoke billiards and ping pong tables, as well as matching benches for spectators. Made to order in clear, black, or white, these tables are meant to grace the homes of players everywhere.
