Intiaro teams up with Kravet, Rowe on new 3D tech

Both home furnishings companies now offer visualization features that reach others in the distribution channel, in addition to designers

Fabric and furniture manufacturers Kravet and Rowe have partnered with 3D company Intiaro to bring 3D visualization capabilities to its retailers, sales reps and consumers. This is a new offering and differs from Intiaro’s DesignerBoard3D technology, which is specifically for interior designers.

The new platform, hosted on Kravet and Rowe’s websites, gives retailers and consumers the ability to drape Kravet and Rowe upholstery fabrics on the brands’ own furniture.

Kravet Chief Process and Innovation Officer Jesse Lazarus says the launch of the DesignerBoard3D application was a good opportunity for them to partner with Intiaro, and this new platform offers a way to target different members of the industry.

In addition to being able to access the platform on Kravet and Rowe’s websites, the brands can also authorize trade partners to use the visualization tool on their own websites, and assets can be integrated with other third parties as well.  Intiaro is in the process of developing a pricing strategy that makes this service affordable, and more information will be released soon.

“Kravet and Rowe can now leverage their investment in these assets across multiple channels,” says Richard Sexton, Intiaro’s managing director. “These are highly regarded companies because of their willingness to invest.” says Richard Sexton, Intiaro’s managing director. “The home furnishings industry can be slower to adapt to digital trends, and this investment in 3D positions Kravet and Rowe as thought-leaders.”

David Shilesky, Rowe Furniture’s vice president of marketing, adds that “visualization has become an expectation for the end consumer in today’s environment. Most people prefer to research and determine their purchase decision in advance. Visualization provides them with an opportunity to complete the decision-making process and make a final purchase.”
