Jonathan Charles to debut its 1st major lighting and art collection at High Point Market

GREENSBORO, N.C. — This fall at High Point Market, Jonathan Charles will debut its first comprehensive lighting collection alongside a major expansion of its art offering, marking the latest step in the brand’s evolution toward design for the whole home. More than 60 new lighting designs and 45 new pieces of art will make their debut, building on earlier introductions in lighting, art and accessories and bringing a broader expression of Jonathan Charles to the showroom.

Long known for furniture defined by distinctive materials, craftsmanship and an attention to detail, Jonathan Charles is extending that same point of view into the layers that complete an interior. Rather than treating lighting, art and accessories as separate additions, the growing categories are being developed as part of a more cohesive approach to the home — one in which furniture, objects, art and illumination work together to create a complete environment.

“Furniture was never the hard part. Matching the light above the table and the piece on the wall to the tone of the room, across three suppliers who had never spoken to each other, was. Now it all comes from one place.” – Founder & CEO Jonathan Sowter

A New Expression in Lighting

The fall launch represents Jonathan Charles’ most significant commitment to lighting to date. The collection spans chandeliers, sconces, table lamps and floor lamps, with more than 60 new designs joining the assortment. Distinctive materials, sculptural forms and the craftsmanship of Jonathan Charles give the collection its own presence while allowing it to live naturally alongside the brand’s furniture.

At High Point Market, designers will experience the collection in the new JC Lighting Gallery. From the moment guests arrive, lighting sets the tone through distinctive materials, sculptural forms and thoughtful details. The dedicated gallery offers a new way to experience the collection and reinforces lighting as an important part of the brand’s broader vision for the home.

Art Takes on a New Dimension

Art will also take on a larger role in the Jonathan Charles showroom this fall with the introduction of 45 new pieces. The expanded assortment explores a broader range of scale, material and subject, creating another layer through which designers can bring the Jonathan Charles point of view into an interior.

The collection is intended to complement a room without simply matching the furniture around it. Across the new introductions, scale, material and subject take on new expression, allowing individual works to create presence while contributing to the larger story of the space.

The Jonathan Charles Home Comes Together

Together, the new lighting and art introductions reflect a broader evolution taking place across Jonathan Charles. Furniture remains at the foundation of the brand, while lighting, art and accessories add new opportunities to layer material, form, texture and personality throughout the home.

At fall market, these categories will be presented together throughout the showroom, giving designers a more complete view of the Jonathan Charles home and a broader range of pieces with which to create cohesive, collected interiors.

“We are not making pieces to match a finish. We are making pieces someone will still want on the wall long after the room has changed around them.” Founder & CEO Jonathan Sowter
