Event aims to educate designers from around the world about the company’s manufacturing and design process
MIAMI — Luxury furniture manufacturer Adriana Hoyos is hosting its first Design Week Ecuador next week as part of an immersive experience that showcases its manufacturing and the story behind the company’s long history of design and craftsmanship.
Design Week Ecuador will take place Sept. 15-18 in Quito, offering a mix of events and programming that gives them an immersive learning experience about the history and culture of the brand.
While Adriana Hoyos has hosted many events, showroom experiences, designer visits and industry gatherings over the years, “Design Week Ecuador is a new initiative created to offer our guests a much more immersive experience,” said Adriana Hoyos, founder and chief designer. “The idea is to bring designers closer to the origins of the brand, our design philosophy, craftsmanship, culture and the creative environment that has shaped Adriana Hoyos over the past 30 years.”

The company is expecting about 30 guests from the United States to attend, including designers and other industry partners. It also has invited guests from international markets and members of the design community in Quito, “making Design Week Ecuador a truly international gathering.”

Hoyos added that the agenda will combine design, culture, hospitality and brand immersion, allowing guests to visit key Adriana Hoyos spaces, including a behind-the-scenes factory tour that educates visitors about the company’s craftsmanship and production process. During this tour, the company also will preview its new Privé collection and offer talks and conversations led by selected designers and industry guests, “offering different perspectives on design, creativity and the evolution of the industry.”
“Throughout the week, guests also will participate in curated cultural and social experiences that connect them more closely with Ecuador and the origins of the brand,” Hoyos added. “This year is especially meaningful as we celebrate 30 years of Adriana Hoyos, giving our guests the opportunity to be part of this important milestone while experiencing the brand where its story began.”
Guests also will be able to visit the company’s retail presence in Ecuador, including its Cumbayá location, where the company will host part of its 30th anniversary celebration.
“It is an important part of the experience because it allows them to see the brand within the market where it originated and experience the Adriana Hoyos world firsthand,” noted Eduardo Perez, chief executive officer.
“The goal is to create a deeper connection between the design community and the story behind Adriana Hoyos,” he added. “We want our guests to understand not only the finished product, but also the culture, creativity, craftsmanship and people behind the brand.
“We see Design Week Ecuador as an exciting new platform for strengthening our relationship with the design community,” Hoyos said. “Our focus right now is on making this first edition a meaningful and memorable experience, but we certainly see the potential for it to continue and evolve in the future.”
