MINNEAPOLIS — Lifestyle retailer Room & Board has unveiled a new office furniture collection that it says combines residential styling with commercial durability, offering businesses and consumers alike office furniture meant to stand the test of time.
Room & Board for Business has launched 13 new pieces for the “workspace and home” including two new desks, a new office chair and a floating cabinet/credenza that can be used in the office or living room.
The desks include the solid oak 60-inch Rowan desk, which is made in Vermont and features dovetail drawer construction. Starting at $1,799 retail, it features cord management and is finished all around, allowing it to float in a room.
The 72-inch solid walnut Hudson desk is made in West Virginia and features full-extension drawer guides and a hand-welded base. It also features waxed drawer interiors, legal-size file storage capacity and a finished back, also allowing it to float in a room. It has a starting retail price of $1,899.
Also new in the office collection is the Penny office chair, which is upholstered in North Carolina, featuring semi-attached cushions and a 360-degree adjustable height swivel base. It also is available in a range of fabric options.
Other seating options that can be used in the home office or other areas of the home include the Weber reclining chair, sofa and sectional, along with the Ali stationary sofa, sectional, chaise and chair and the Haven office chair available with a fabric, or leather seat, both of which are available in four wood/finish options.
In addition, the Murphy ottoman has a fabric option available in two sizes and four leg finish options and three stocked fabrics. A leather ottoman has two size options and four leg finish options.
New storage pieces include the Coles floating media cabinet/console, featuring slatted door storage offering ventilation for electronics and available in four wood types and four sizes (from 48 inches long to 84 inches long).
Other pieces that expand the collection to the whole home include the Berkeley vanity, available in 16 different sizes, and 16 top and sink options. The Berkeley linen cabinet comes in four sizes, three wood types and two hardware options.
Four new bed frames — the Silas, Mackintosh, Northrop and Joyce — also are available.
