CPSC announces recall of wall beds sold on Lowes.com and HomeDepot.com

Agency said units pose a fall hazard that can harm consumers

WASHINGTON — The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced the recall of a wall bed sold on Lowes.com and HomeDepot.com that poses a fall hazard that can harm consumers.

The recall involves 250 Fufu&Gaga Murphy queen-size wall beds featuring a white wood frame. The agency said that during assembly or disassembly, the 215-pound frame of the wall bed can fall onto consumers, potentially resulting in “deadly impact, crush and laceration hazards.”

The company has received two reports of the units falling during the assembly process, both of which reportedly resulted in injuries. In one, the CPSC said a consumer sustained a laceration, a bruise and a fractured growth plate in her finger. In the other, a consumer sustained a laceration to his face requiring eight stitches.

On its website, the CPSC said the beds are designed to be wall-mounted and be able to fold into a cabinet. They measure about 86 inches high and 65 inches wide. The model number KF210284US-01MH-A001 can be found on the instruction booklet and packaging.

Made by Jiangsu Liangjiang Intelligent Furniture Co. Ltd, of China, they were imported by Ningbo Tianqi Electronic Inc., of Denver, and sold on HomeDepot.com and Lowes.com from January 2025 through April 2025 for about $550.

The CPSC has advised consumers to immediately stop using the units and contact Ningbo Tianqi Electronic for a full refund. It noted that consumers will be provided with a disassembly kit that contains tools, brackets and screws with instructions on how to disassemble and discard the wall beds.

For more information, consumers can contact Ningbo Tianqi Electronic at 208-820-0799 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or via email at adelahu@fufugaga.com or support@fufugaga.zendesk.com. Or they can visit www.fufugaga.com and click on the Recall Information tab.
