In this new position, she will guide sales and development, serving as a liaison between customers and the company’s product development team
SAN DIEGO — Martin Furniture has promoted Cheryl Whyers to the new position of director of the company’s commercial office segment.
She has been with the company for just over three years, starting as retail e-commerce manager in October 2022 before being promoted to e-business team lead and retail e-commerce manager, a role she has held since December 2022.

She came to the company from e-commerce sales and digital marketing firm Digitally Complete, where she was head of e-commerce business development for about seven years.
Before this, she was vice president of e-commerce business development at pneumatic tool accessories resource Milton Industries and before this was co-founder and partner of e-commerce sales and digital marketing at Highlands, a national sales and advertising services firm.
Earlier in her career, she was e-commerce channel manager and e-commerce marketing manager at ACCO Brands.
In her new position, she reports to Nico Gaviria, chief executive officer of Martin Furniture.
Gaviria told Home News Now that Whyers will be responsible for growing the company’s commercial office segment with product that is designed and tailored for new and existing partners in the space. In addition to overseeing this strategy of how to best partner with these accounts, she will oversee sales and development in the segment, serving as a liaison between customers and the product development team.
“Cheryl has consistently demonstrated exceptional performance, innovative thinking and a collaborative spirit that inspires both our team and our customers,” Gaviria shared with Home News Now. “Her confidence in addressing challenges and unwavering commitment to excellence have already left a lasting impact on our success. As she steps into her new role as director of commercial office, we are confident she will continue to bring fresh perspectives, valuable insights and strong leadership to drive our strategy forward. We look forward to celebrating all that Cheryl will accomplish in the chapters ahead.”
