Stickley, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation partner on new furniture collection

MANLIUS, N.Y. — L. & J.G. Stickley and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation have announced an exclusive partnership for a new residential furniture collection inspired by the design philosophy of the iconic American architect. The first phase of the collaboration is planned to launch in the spring of 2027.

Founded in 1900, Stickley represents an enduring legacy of American craft built around authentic materials, intelligent design, and time-honored construction, producing furniture to be lived with for generations. The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation stewards the work and ideas of one of America’s most influential architects, whose approach to organic architecture connected buildings, interiors, furnishings and the natural world. Together, the organizations will explore how their shared principles and legacies can inform contemporary living.

The collection will include exclusive furniture designs for living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms, with additional opportunities for accent pieces and signature designs. Creative direction will draw from Wright’s broader design principles while allowing room for both historically informed replicas and original furniture inspired by his work.

“We are honored by the opportunity to interpret Frank Lloyd Wright’s extraordinary legacy through the lens of Stickley’s craftsmanship and materials, and it’s a responsibility that we take very seriously,” said Edward Audi, president, L. & J.G. Stickley. “Our founders and Wright were contemporaries who shared a commitment to design that was uniquely American. We’re excited to bring his ideas to life for today’s homes with the lasting quality that only Stickley can provide.”

“Frank Lloyd Wright was interested in the holistic design of his projects, wherein the design of furniture was integral in completing Wright’s vision,” said Sally Russell, director of licensing for the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.  “Wright used the furniture in his buildings like scaled-down architecture, creating its own composition wherever it is placed. The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation looks forward to seeing how Stickley will interpret Wright’s organic design philosophy in beautiful new furniture for contemporary homes.”

The partnership is being announced during Fall High Point Market as the teams begin the first phase of product development, with an introduction targeted for Spring 2027. Further details will be announced jointly.
