by At last week’s premarket, Home News Now got an early first look at some of the new products to be introduced at the upcoming October High Point Market. As always, these fashion-forward designs also caught the attention of retailers here for the event. Shown below are products seen at companies we visited from Sunday through Tuesday that we did not previously highlight in last week’s business story. Scroll down below to see some of the most interesting designs we saw in both wood furniture and upholstery.
The Bluff dresser is part of Universal Furniture’s Weekend Getaway, a line extension of its licensed Coastal Living collection. Made with oak veneers, it has eight drawers (four small, four large), each with an inset panel and cove molding. It also features indented knob hardware in a brushed Champagne finish.
This is among a group of “Therapy Chaises” shown at HH2 Home. The daybed in this vignette has a pull-0ut trundle that allows two people to recline on the unit at once.
Wood furniture manufacturer Gascho Furniture showed a number of new dining tables, including the Conner gathering-height and regular dining-height options, which each have a self-storing leaf. The tables shown here are in solid maple, but they also come in solid oak and solid cherry.
The Valdera bedroom by Napa Furniture Design is made with solid mango and is shown here in a hand-rubbed mango finish. It also features polished brass hardware.
Catherine’s Home showed a number of new and inline upholstery groups including this sectional slider featuring dual lounge chairs with storage functionality.
Magnussen Home showed the Jubilee dining set at premarket. Featuring updated traditional design elements, it has a double ped trestle dining table and matching chairs and buffet unit. It is made with oak veneers and hardwood solids in a brown finish and has hardware in a Weathered Brass finish.
The Jake leather sofa by Stone & Leigh has a traditional roll-arm design and wood legs. It retails from $2,299 to $2,399.
This sectional is part of Corinthian’s GenLiving collection, which is a line of domestic stationary upholstery available in multiple sizes, configurations and styles targeting a diverse group of consumers.
The casual contemporary Ethel bedroom featuring this wood-framed upholstered headboard was among several new sets shown by Crown Mark at premarket. A five-piece set retails around $1,499.
This dining table is part of Kincaid’s solid wood, updated traditional Hartford collection. The leg table shown seats eight comfortably and retails around $2,399.
The Karat swivel desk by Karat Home has a contemporary sit-stand profile that combines functionality with a contemporary design aesthetic that is popular among many of today’s consumers.
