by HIGH POINT, NC — The International Home Furnishings Representatives Association (IHFRA) is putting the finishing touches on its upcoming gala, set for Saturday, Oct.17th at 6pm at High Point University.
The upcoming annual Furniture Industry Awards Gala (FIAG) represents the group’s 30th annual gala that honors industry standouts who have helped shape the industry.
“This year’s theme– Legends, Leaders & Luminaries, truly reflects the qualities of this year’s slate of honorees,” said Steve Allegrezza, IHFRA’s executive director.
This year’s honorees include Jeff Child of RC Willey, Aminy Audi of L.& J.G. Stickley, Andy Bernstein of Furniture Dealer.net, Wendy Buzzard of Creative Visions Midwest, Craig Ruse of Moto Motion, Mary Margaret Adkisson of Ashley Industries, Mark Pfeiffer of ABC Warehouse, and John and Matt Shultz of Levin/JVS Furniture.
“People attend our gala for a variety of reasons,” said IHFRA Executive Director Steve Allegrezza. “First and foremost, they come to celebrate this year’s outstanding honorees and recognize the contributions they have made to our industry. But FIAG is also about reconnecting — with old friends, customers and colleagues — and making new connections with people from across the furniture industry.
“It’s an opportunity for companies to represent their brands, show their support for the industry and put themselves in front of an influential gathering of furniture professionals. And, of course, it’s a chance to simply have a great evening with the people who make this industry so special,” Allegrezza added.
Now in its 30th year, FIAG has become one of the furniture industry’s signature gatherings — bringing together retailers, manufacturers, representatives and other industry leaders for an evening of recognition, networking and celebration.
While sponsorships, ticket sales, table sales and ads in the dinner program have been strong, there’s still time to be part of it, Allegrezza said, adding the deadline for sponsorships, ads and ticket sales is September 4th.
