Kincaid Custom Upholstery to move to new showroom in High Point Hamilton design district

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. At the October High Point Market, Kincaid Custom Upholstery will welcome retail buyers, interior designers, home stagers, and other members of the trade to a new 12,000-square-foot showroom at 311 N. Hamilton Street in downtown High Point. Located in the heart of the High Point Market design district, the space establishes a new home for the company and a fresh standard for how customers will experience Kincaid Upholstery at Market and beyond.

The showroom shares the building with Valdese Weavers and is part of a completely reimagined space that also includes MT Companies. The prominent Hamilton Street location, with a fresh new façade, places Kincaid Custom Upholstery at the center of one of Market’s most active destinations while giving the company room to present its craftsmanship, design point of view, and customer-focused capabilities in a more immersive setting.

“This showroom represents the next chapter for Kincaid Upholstery and the kind of welcome we want to extend to every customer who walks through our doors,” said Max Dyer, the company’s chief executive officer. “We are creating a home where retailers, professional interior designers and others in the trade can experience our products in an inspiring environment, build relationships with our team and see firsthand the quality, comfort and long-term value that define Kincaid.”

At Market, the company will present a mix of new introductions and inline products that reinforce its position as a strong partner and provider of upscale seating. Eight-way hand-tied construction and four-way fabric matching are among the hallmarks of the line, with comfort, durability and lasting customer satisfaction guiding every product decision.

Kincaid’s seating also features Worry-Free™ cushioning and lifetime warranties on frames, springs and cushions — an uncommon level of assurance in the upholstery industry. Together, those features reflect the company’s commitment to dependable performance and products designed to be enjoyed for years.

Fresh, updated traditional and transitional styling will shape the showroom presentation, anchored by a lively color story that brings energy and cohesion to the space. The environment is being designed to help buyers envision Kincaid products across a range of interiors and customer preferences while highlighting the breadth and versatility of the assortment.

“Our goal is to make this showroom an essential destination for customers who value style, service and uncompromising construction,” said Cole Mehlman, chief commercial officer. “Kincaid is built to be nimble and responsive, and this new space gives us a stronger platform for listening to our partners, supporting their businesses and presenting bench-made upholstery in a way that feels current, relevant and unmistakably Kincaid.”

The company’s move to the Hamilton Street showroom follows its return to family ownership under KMC Furniture LLC earlier this year. Kincaid Custom Upholstery continues to manufacture in Taylorsville, North Carolina, where more than 100 associates carry forward the company’s heritage of domestic, artisan upholstery production.

A series of showroom kickoff events will be announced at a later date.
