HIGH POINT — Luxury furniture manufacturer Theodore Alexander announced it has rehired Sydney Wells Martin to the newly created position of vice president, marketing.
In this position, she will lead the company’s omnichannel marketing strategy as part of an effort to “strengthen the brand’s presence and overall market position.”

“Martin will take the lead in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns utilizing advertising, public relations, email marketing and social media to increase engagement and drive measurable growth for Theodore Alexander,” the company said. “Martin intends to create a cohesive and elevated customer experience through direct brand storytelling and increased influencer content strategy across digital, print, showroom, and retail channels.”
The company added that she also will collaborate closely with in-house designers, sales teams and external agencies “to ensure accurate and impactful product and collection launches across all customer touchpoints.”
She returns to the company from Sherrill Furniture Brands, where she has worked for the past four years, as vice president, marketing and director of marketing. Before this, she was director of marketing at Theodore Alexander. She also previously was senior manager, e-commerce at Officialize and before this was acquisition marketing manager at GOVX.
In her new role, she reports to Ed Teplitz, president of Theodore Alexander.
“We are looking forward to having Sydney return to the Theodore Alexander family as the brand continues to grow in both physical presence and whole-home offerings,” Teplitz said. “To have Sydney lead cross-functional planning and execution in an effort to align our marketing initiatives with business objectives, product strategy, and evolving consumer trends will be a tremendous strength to our team.”
