by BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. — HH2 Home, Green River Group’s U.S.-based full-line furniture resource, is relocating its distribution center from Louisville, Kentucky, to Northwest Mississippi and expanding into a 500,000+ square-foot warehouse and distribution center formerly operated by Benchcraft.
Lee Boone, chief executive officer of HH2 Home, said the move to Blue Mountain will offer logistics and cost efficiencies that allow for faster shipments and local distribution for retail partners. The company plans to begin shipping its product line from the the new location this month.
Boone told Home News Now that the previous location in Louisville was about 400,000 square feet and that new facility allows room for expansion.
“This facility is located in a high-traffic furniture area near established freight and trucking routes just outside Memphis,” he added. “With this ideal location, we will develop the campus as an East Coast distribution facility for all of our related companies,
creating scale and further operational efficiencies.”
He also noted that the facility was originally designed and built for furniture operations and is “ideally suited for our product lines, enabling the company to receive, store and ship goods easier, faster and with less opportunity for damage.”
Since the facility is larger than the previous warehouse, “it will accommodate our growth initiatives,” he said. “Because of the lower-cost base, we will be able to maintain compelling values.”
