HIGH POINT — Liz Wood has been named vice president of merchandising for full-line furniture resource HH2 Home, a new position.

Previously senior director of merchandising, she came to the company last July from Hillsdale Furniture, where she was senior director of merchandising and director of merchandising for about two and a half years. Before this, she was merchandise manager of case goods at Rooms To Go and previously was case goods buyer at Art Van Furniture.
Earlier in her career, she was a buyer at Ashley Furniture Homestores for about five years.
In her new position, she reports to Lee Boone, chief executive officer of HH2 Home, and will be responsible for developing and merchandising dining, bedroom and accents for the company’s brick-and-mortar customers.
“She has a retail background and understands not just the product side of the business, but also the retail side of it,” Boone said, adding that the job requires the design, merchandising and packaging of the product in a way that the retailer can understand and relate to.
“Liz has demonstrated tremendous merchandising ability in case goods furniture,” Boone added. “She understands style and knows how to translate good design into commercially appealing value for our retail partners. We are delighted to have her driving this aspect of our business.”
Wood said she was pleased at the new opportunity within the organization.
“Stepping into this role at HH2 Home is an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow a company that is redefining what it means to be a great partner in this industry,” she said. “We’re focused on bringing strategic, trend-right styles to market with speed and intention. Having been on the buying side, I understand the challenges retailers face, and I’m committed to ensuring we build lasting partnerships through thoughtful design, strong execution and a solutions-driven approach.”
