Hekman Furniture to launch 24-piece Fairfax collection at market

Case goods and upholstery manufacturer also is launching about 25 new standalone accents

HIGH POINT — At the upcoming High Point Market, case goods and upholstery manufacturer Hekman Furniture is launching a 24-piece collection called Fairfax that has 19th century and Caribbean design influences.

Made with trembesi veneers and select hardwood solids, Fairfax includes seven bedroom pieces, five dining pieces and 12 occasional items.

Key pieces include a bed with panel moldings, a rectangular dining table with turned legs, and case pieces with framed and beaded detailing on the door panels. Occasional and accent tables have a combination of heavily turned legs and bases and bun feet.

These are among the new occasional pieces that are part of Hekman Furniture’s new Fairfax collection.

Other bedroom pieces include a single-drawer and three-drawer nightstand, a 69-inch-long by 42-inch-tall dresser and a 60-inch-tall chest. Other key dining room pieces include upholstered arm and side chairs, a 60-inch round dining table and a 70-inch-long by 40-inch-tall sideboard.

Shown in a hand-rubbed Chestnut Brown finish with black wax highlights, the surfaces of tables and other pieces feature highly figured wood grain detail and skived flat surfaces that offer both texture and depth. Drawers of case pieces feature framed detailing and moldings and two sizes of antique brass loop hardware.

The rectangular dining table retails from $799 to $849, the round dining table retails around $799 and the panel bed retails from $899 to $949.

In addition, the company is introducing 25 standalone accents, including 15 small chairside tables, commodes and pedestals, six entertainment centers, two desks and a new occasional table group made with mahogany solids and featuring hand-finished surfaces.

On the upholstery side, the company is launching three new styles of swivel stools, three new standard stools, two new dining chairs and two new accent chairs.

These and other products can be seen at the Hekman showroom in Space C-754 of the International Home Furnishings Center.
