He fills a role previously held by long-time executive Stan Froneberger, who is retiring, but remains in an advisory role
HICKORY, N.C. — Furniture transportation and logistics specialist SunBelt Furniture Xpress has hired LTL industry veteran Chad Clark as its new senior vice president and general manager.
He fills a role previously held by long-time SunBelt executive Stan Froneberger, who is retiring and assuming an advisory role with the company. Froneberger has been with SunBelt for more than 17 years, most recently as vice president and general manager for the past 10 years and vice president of sales and marketing for about seven and a half years before that.
Clark comes to the company from DHL Freight US-Standard Forwarding, where he was vice president of operations. Before this, he was vice president at Yellow Corp. and before this was director of operations and vice president of sales for YRC Freight. He also previously held other executive-level roles at both YRC and Yellow.
“He has demonstrated success in leading high-performance teams, cultivating strong relationships and initiating innovative ways to drive growth and performance,” the company said in announcing his appointment.
The company also noted that during the leadership transition, Froneberger will work closely with Clark to “facilitate a smooth transition and subsequently serve in an advisory role in support of the company.”
