AICO raises more than $43K for City of Hope

PICO RIVERA, Calif. – Once again AICO (Amini Innovation Corp.) participated in the 2022 Walk For Hope for City of Hope on Sunday, November 6th raising over $43,000. The AICO All-Stars are made up of employees, executives and their families and friends. Supporters also include other members of the home furnishings community.

Walk For Hope is a City of Hope event designed to call attention to women’s cancers and their on-going research to find new treatments, drugs, therapies and cures for breast and gynecological cancers.

This is the 13th time Martin Ploy has led the AICO All-Stars as their team captain and leading fundraiser. Says Ploy, “It is always so gratifying to see the AICO Family rally together in support of this most important and significant event. The total funds raised nationally for 2022 will exceed $1.6M and since it’s inception in 1997, Walk For Hope has raised over $45 Million for City of Hope’s Women’s Cancers Program.”

City of Hope is a National Cancer Institute designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and research hospital in Duarte. CA specializing in treatments for cancer and diabetes. U.S. World & News Reports recently listed City of Hope one of the top 10 “Best Hospitals” for cancer. Ranked seventh nationally this is the 16th consecutive year U.S. World & News Reports has distinguished City of Hope as one of the nation’s elite cancer hospitals.    

City of Hope just opened their new Orange County facility in Irvine, CA and has recently acquired the Cancer Centers of America, now having more than 575 physicians and over 1,000 scientists and researchers across a network of locations in California, Arizona, Illinois and Georgia. This network runs over 800 clinical trials annually, enrolling more than 5,000 patients. City of Hope is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, meaning its research and treatment protocols advance care throughout the nation.
