Lillian August opens new showroom, launches collections in newly renovated Sherrill Furniture building

HIGH POINT – The Lillian August team continues their focus on creating timeless interiors with a dynamic signature play on color and comfort. Expressly designed to meet the challenge of the luxury home furnishings world, the brand is celebrating the opening of its new showroom in the newly renovated Sherrill Furniture building, along with a 15-year anniversary of licensing with Sherrill Furniture Brands.

This Market also celebrates Lillian August, three-generations of Design. Dan Weiss, Lillian’s son has been a co-founder, with Lillian, of her brand and now we celebrate the addition of Lillian’s granddaughter, Eliza Weiss. This is one of the largest introductions for the brand, including 30 case goods designs, 14 new upholstery additions and 17 new outdoor furniture pieces.

“This Market’s collection boasts a myriad of fine fabrics and an eclectic mix of timeless designs and modern forms, celebrating a golden age of decorating,” says Lillian of her new Classics collection.

The grand entrance to Market presents the retro opulence of a dramatic Hollywood Regency Collection. As a modern interpretation of classic glamour this collection features an eclectic mix and coloring of deep reds mixed with marigold. Pops of metallic imbue these pieces with confident style embracing comfort with luxury. Introductions for our Classics Collection include the mid-century, Italian- inspired Maeve Chest. Custom wood and color finishes are available throughout our LA Workshop program.

Featured for elegant dining is our classic black, white and gold dining room.

The new Bellagio Curved Sectional is featured in smokey grey velvet, paired with the new Dalia Swivel Chair for a deco modern statement. Greens and pinks offer a whimsical viewpoint.

The recent Iconics series, inspired by archival, mid-century designs, now includes the new Andre Collection. A Brazilian modern occasional group, it features cocktail and end tables in Rosewood, with a black smoked mirror top that combine perfectly with our Pietro Console and Dean Dresser, from last year’s initial introduction.

Expanding upon last Market, additions to our popular Elena Collection, now include a console table and desk – featuring a sophisticated white Sycamore finish with gold accents.

The Regency style continues into a soft purple and pink bedroom with touches of silver that revolve around our new Josephine Cocktail Table with its thick silver-plated legs, brass in-lays and a glass inset top.

Timeless style continues with a more coastal feel in our Palm Beach bedroom that uses greens and pinks for a cheerful feminine viewpoint. The Rose Collection which is a sophisticated interpretation of art deco styled designs from the 1950’s. The mix material etagere and chest are constructed with a combination of raffia, linen, and brass.

Modern Living begins with breezy, azure oceans with pops of marigold yellow colors. The Hamptons Coastal Blues Collection is updated with a modern look featuring a denim-hue sectional, and bright white accent pieces, paired with chinoiserie accessories and patterns.

Featuring the relaxed, modern farmhouse aesthetic that fits well in a wide range of lifestyles and décor, Round Top showcases antique reproduction forms in relaxed oak finishes. In addition, several new vintage inspired leather frames mixed with sumptuous woven fabrics and neutral hues.

The Oakley series includes occasional and dining tables, and is inspired by turn of the century French country antiques. The deep-toned distressed oak finish is perfect in a country home retreat as well as a sophisticated New York City loft. The Oakley series also features the Austin Sectional, a mid-century European modern, modular lounger featured in a hand distressed leather. Adding to our acclaimed Leo Chair style (nominated for the Luxe Furniture Award) is the 1920’s French Deco, Ace Chair, which also promises to be a classic.

The new Leo Sofa and Broderick Bustle Back Sofa, in vintage distressed leather, boast important vintage chic styling.

The Houston bedroom group, in natural oak with burnished brass and soap stone, is a reflection of our passion for European country furniture.

“Round Top is a curated collection of some of our favorite forms and finishes, that we plan to expand on for many years
to come,” says co-founder Dan Weiss about the inspiration for his new collection.

Lillian August outdoor introductions for fall 2023 include the Azul seating group, a unique mix of cane and teak in a modern shelter form with a interior and exterior design vision. The Hendrix table group is an organic mix of teak and concrete that also works for both indoor and outdoor decorating.

Expanding upon our popular Hermosa series, we are including sectional pieces and a swivel chair option to the cool serenity of the Hamptons Coastal collection.
