by CHICAGO — IIDA proudly announces Pulse On Partnership Limited as the Best of Competition Winner for the 2021 Global Excellence Awards for SFC Shangying Cinema Luxe in Suzhou, China. The competition honors originality and creativity in international interior design and interior architecture projects across 15 categories.
“Pulse On Partnership Limited showcased a level of sophistication and innovation worthy of international renown,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “The team designed a space that embodies the intrigue, relaxation, and wonder of the entertainment experience.”
Projects were reviewed by a jury of design experts, including Ronnie Belizaire, FIIDA, vice president, JLL; Meg Prendergast, Assoc. IIDA, principal consultant, Meg Prendergast Hospitality, LLC; and Jaime Vélez, FIIDA, design partner, Velez+Valencia Arquitectos.
“SFC Shangying Cinema Luxe is a beautiful space that goes beyond the role of a comfortable theater. Before you enjoy a movie, you cannot help but be captured by the unique waiting area’s lounge and library,” said Vélez on behalf of the jury. “The design offers an imaginative, sophisticated, and practical use of space in in every way.”
